




Housing support service (Floating support)
Part Funded by: Supporting People Program through Northern Ireland Housing Executive(NIHE) Belfast
This service is to provide homeless prevention services to Deaf and Hard of Hearing people in Belfast.
It can involve searching for housing, help and advice about paying bills and rent, sign-posting to benefits advice, support with equipment to allow a person to live there safely. Support to access education or employment services.
Youth club
Part Funded by: Belfast Education and library Board (BELB)
The youth club supports young people from 11 to 17. It meets at Wilton house every two weeks on a Friday. The youth club also have an annual summer scheme and residential.
Children’s club
Part Funded by: Belfast Health and social care Trust (BHSSCT)
The children’s club meets every Saturday morning and is well attended by young deaf and hard of hearing people up to the age of 11 The club has also had a residential, a family day and a summer scheme this year. Saturdays can involve activities in Wilton house or Trips out for many other activities.
Mentoring service
Part Funded by: the Children’s Fund, from the Department of Health Social Services & Public Safety. (DHSSPS)
The Mentoring Service is aimed at 11-25 year old young Deaf from all over NI, with various communication abilities to provide support, guidance and advice on issues such as education, employment, information and services or personal issues.
Our Mentors are both deaf or Hearing, aged 18+ and come from all walks of life! We provide Mentor Training twice a year, and provide ongoing support and regular supervision meetings with Mentors.
